Phi Lambda Delta Sorority Makes Health Accessible for All

One of the most crucial parts of living is that seeing to it that you have a health that is strong and thus making you live with no worries at all. It is then imperative for us that we make full utilization of the health privileges being provided for us by the different organizations across the lands. Here in the Philippines, we have the so called Phi Lambda Delta Sorority of the University of the Philippines (UP) college of Medicine. The year 2009 has been very remarkable to this sorority - the fertile ground that breeds some of the most venerable lady doctors in the land. Now in its 40th year, the highly esteemed organization aimed to bring health to those that are less privileged to afford it.
The organization focused on the renovation of Barangay Malibay, Pasay City’s TeenBayan, and Well Babies Shed, a center where troubled teens seek help and counseling. This August, it launches its Adopt-a-Barangay project, KKK (Kabuhayan sa Kabahayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran), in Barangay 107, Pasay City, geared towards empowering the community towards self-sustenance. The said sorority has upcoming activities such as breastfeeding campaign and year round donations of various valuable equipments to Philippine General Hospital.
There are lots of activities still in line with the schedule of the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority. It will be all thanks to them why those less privileged people will have the chance to experience greater health service for the betterment of their healthy life.
